Hello children! Today we’re going to learn about RSS-feeds with the help of DinosauRSS, the RSS-dinosaur!
DinosauRSS is a very hungry dinosaur! But he’s also a sad dinosaur, because every day he has to travel all the way across the great kingdom of Internettia to get the pics and videos and comics and blog entries that are so very tasty to him! And often when he gets to a village the mayor has yet to prepare another sacrifice for DinosauRSS and this makes him a very sad dinosaur, because he’s travelled all that way for nothing! He will often stop coming to a village entirely for this very reason!
But then, one day, as he was exploring the valleys of Youtubia he met the RSS-gnomes! The RSS-gnomes looked strange and nerdy and over-technical to DinosauRSS, and he was going to move on before their techno-babble could snare him, when the gnomes made him an offer he could not refuse.
"All you need do" squeaked the leader of the RSS-gnomes. "Is to get, for instance, a google account, and then we will take any new sacrifices from the villages to the Google Reader!"
"Hm” said the Dinosaur, most sceptically. "Why would I bother to do that. That sounds very complicated.”
"No it’s not!” chorused the gnomes. "It’s very easy! Especially if, for instance, you would happen to have a gmail-acount.”
And indeed he had.
And he went back to his castle, and he activated the google reader, and before he knew it the gnomes started arriving to tell him which villages were ready to offer up a new sacrifice unto him. And not only that, but they often brought him the sacrifice. From that day on he lived comfortably in his castle and only scoured out into the wilderness when he felt like it, to look for any new villages to add to his roster of willing servants and content providers.
"Hohoho!” he said to himself, in tones of great amusement, as he saw other creatures lumbering through the valleys of Internettia, looking for sustenance. "I remember when I was like that – a slave to the content-providers! Now I am free soul, and each days is brighter than the next, now that the RSS-gnomes willingly march content into my great mouth.”
Hohoho, indeed, DinosauRSS. For he had found true happiness.

People keep asking me "Jakob, what's that orange thing on your site?", and even after I've explained it, they still don't get it. So I put together the story you see here to the left.
I CAN NOT EXPLAIN IT ANY PLAINER THAN THIS.
The story is written & narrated by me, and the background-music is my interpretation of Lazlo Banes' "Superman" (you can download it here if you want).
